Beginner’s Courses

Beginner’s Courses

New to archery and want to get started? Need a relaxing, sociable hobby to get you out of housework? Come to one of our beginner’s courses!

Our beginner’s course covers four lessons, and teaches you the basics of archery.

All equipment is provided. A qualified archery instructor/coach will lead the course, with help from experienced club members.

You will learn about safety, equipment selection, basic techniques and development of technique, scoring, etiquette and the next steps.
Also insurance included.

At the end, you can make an informed decision on whether you would like to pursue archery further. There is a minimum age of 12 years for those wishing to take part which allows for the need to have a certain level of strength and maturity.

We require at all lessons that a parent or guardian attends with the junior or vulnerable adult.

The club abides by the Archery GB policy for safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We run beginners courses through February, June and September. Starting from the first Saturday of each month for four consecutive weeks. The course only costs £120 for adults over 25 years of age & £60 for persons under 25years or all ages registered disabled.  Advanced bookings only.
